A game based on hatching eggs in order to collect creatures. Made for LÖVE Jam 2024.
If you get stuck on the dying part of the tutorial, you need to place the egg into the dye vat, put in exactly one drop of red dye, don't touch the egg until the dye has completely transferred to the egg, and then click the egg. You can retry if you mess it up. Sorry this wasn't more clear!!
WARNING: there's a well known and very replicable crash where if you throw an egg into another egg too hard it will cause the game to hard crash. This will be fixed in an eventual post-jam version

i really like this game, ive been playing it all day, but a couple issues have been starting to bug me. the requirement "throw against egg" is a little funky? it doesnt seem like it registers unless you throw it hard enough- but throwing it too hard crashes the game (though theres a warning about that, which i appreciate a lot). this on its own wouldnt be that annoying, except the game doesnt really have save data? so every time it happens, i end up having to start all over from scratch. (ive been willing to start over every time it happens, though, thats just how fun this game is to me.)
oh, it would also be nice if there was an otion to lower or turn off the background music volume? its a little loud.
all the other minor issues have been mentioned in other comments like the instruction page flickering, so...
all in all, im really excited to see the post-jam version!!
some instruction that pops up when i grab the egg keeps rapidly appearing despite me just holding it
also i cant actually see the instructions unless i put it in the bowl
second edit: huzzah the instructions (at least for me) now work
edit:maybe make a way to scroll down in the collector hotel
or if there is make it more clear
Its hard to move between screens too
You can use the arrow keys to move left and right!
One of the eggs got stuck behind the UI. This SUCKS!
EDIT: Also, it's hard to get the "throw against egg" task done. It seems like it's random!
The goals for each egg aren't displaying properly and just keep rapidly expanding and contracting so I can't read the text

There's a patch that came out earlier; you can now get pass the tutorial!
Okay, I dyed the egg red. However, the tutorial isn't progressing! What did I do wrong?
EDIT: I think there was a patch, because I clicked on the egg and it hatched!
How can you call this game egg related when I can't smash open the premature egg.
Not that I would ever test it... However, yes you can. You simply need to throw it around a bit more.

game doe snot fit properly in window its to tiny
once i realised you have to punch the sides of the screen to move and played the game, i realized it's definitely a new breakthrough in egg type games. cute art, fun gameplay loop, slightly wonky egg color detection. egg/egg
